Borneo Wildlife Holidays is operated by Inno Travel & Tour Services Sdn Bhd, a tour operator registered in Malaysia (company registration 199798-K, tourism licence KKKP 1949, MATTA member MA0757). We are the data controller for the information described here.

Where we are, and who to contact

We are a Malaysian company. Our people, our offices and your enquiry are all in Sabah, Malaysia, and we have no office or branch in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. There is no local representative to contact on our behalf, so please come to us directly using the details above — we answer these ourselves, and we will not pass you between offices.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry

The form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your country, when you would like to travel, how long for, how many of you there are, which places interest you and anything you would like to tell us. We use this to reply to you and to plan a journey. The lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you.

Your enquiry goes directly to our own mailbox. It is not passed through any third-party form service, marketing platform or customer database, and this website stores no copy of it.

When you travel with us

Arranging a journey needs more: passport details for permits and internal flights, dietary requirements, and any medical or mobility information that affects what we can safely arrange. We share what is necessary with the specific airlines, lodges, reserves and authorities involved in your trip, and with nobody else. The lawful basis is the performance of your contract with us, and for health information, your explicit consent.

When you use this website

Our host records standard server information such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability. If you have agreed to analytics, we also collect the information described under Cookies below.

What we never do

• We do not sell your information, and we never have.
• We do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
• We do not add you to a marketing list because you made an enquiry.
• We do not run advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few.

Essential

We store your cookie choice in your browser so that we do not ask again on every page. This never leaves your device, is not shared, and is not used to identify you. Our host may also set a security cookie to protect the site from attack. These cannot be turned off, because without them the site does not work properly.

Analytics — optional, and off unless you say yes

With your permission we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, so that we know which parts of the site are useful. No analytics cookie is set and no analytics script is loaded until you accept. If you reject, or simply close the banner, nothing is loaded at all.

You can change your mind at any time — manage your cookie choices — and withdrawing is as easy as giving permission was.

Google Analytics is provided by Google, which may process this information outside your country. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum to them.

How long we keep things

Enquiries stay in our mailbox for as long as they are useful for answering you and for any journey that follows, and are deleted when they are not. Booking records are kept for as long as Malaysian tax and company law requires. Analytics data is retained for the period set in our Google Analytics account, which does not exceed fourteen months.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You can object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests, and you can withdraw any consent you have given at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.

Ask us and we will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection and the enquiry form submits directly to our own systems. No security is perfect, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Where children travel with you, we collect their details from you as the adult making the booking.

Changes

If we change how the site works we will change this notice at the same time and update the date at the top of it.
